The Year of Superheroes
With movies ranging from Batman vs. Superman to X-Men: Apocalypse, there are plenty superhero movies coming in 2016 to go around. The question is, is there such thing as too much of a good thing?
Batman vs. Superman picks up where Man of Steel left off, after a battle against Zod that left the world in ruins. The man who used to be the picture of hope is now the image of a reckless threat. Among those who believe that is Bruce Wayne, or Batman. Batman decides to go after Superman himself, serving the justice he believes is deserved. There arises a problem, however, when a third man steps into the ring with a threat bigger than either of them. Will the two be able to set aside their differences long enough to save their people? The release date for this movie is just around the corner, on March 25th, 2016.
Following the most recent “Avengers” movie comes Captain America: Civil War, a story of Steve Rogers, and his fight to protect those he cares about the most. When the government tries to get involved in the business of heroes, they are forced to take sides. Those for government input, Team Ironman, and those against, Team Captain America. In the end, who will win, and will the relationships left in the dust ever be repaired? With the fate of the entire franchise hanging in the balance, watchers will be holding their breath through the whole movie. This movie is scheduled for a release on May 5th, 2016.
These are just a couple of the superhero/villain movies coming out this year; a few more include X-Men: Apocalypse and Suicide Squad. Will the writers be able to produce individual plots, or will they all be the same? Which movie are you most looking forward to this year?
