Hot Cocoa Snowmen
By Brianna S.
If anyone in your family likes hot cocoa and cute baby snowmen, then use this recipe to satisfy their needs!
You could make some hot cocoa snowmen! First you’ll need to gather all of your materials.
For two snowmen you’ll need:
1. 6 baby food jars
2. 6 packages of Swiss Miss Hot cocoa
3. A bag of miniature marshmallows
4. A package of peppermints
5. Black and orange paint
6. Super glue
7. Ribbon of your color choice
8. A lid that will fit inside your baby jar lid. It will look like a top hat.
Directions:
1. Take all of your baby food jar lids and paint them black. They will be stacked on top of each other so they do not need to be completely painted in the middle.
2. Choose the jar that will be on top and paint eyes, a nose, and a mouth.
3. On the jar that will be in the middle paint 3 black dots to represent the buttons.
4. Paint 2 arms coming from each side on the middle jar along with the buttons.
5. Fill the top jar with marshmallows, the middle jar with hot cocoa, and the bottom jar with peppermints.
6. Superglue the bottom of each jar to the top of the next lid.
7. Paint the bottle lids black and super glue them to the top lids like top hats.
8. Finally, you can use the ribbon to make scarves for the snowmen.
Also if you need this for a different occasion, change it up a little. If you need a present for Valentine’s Day, use candy hearts and chocolate instead. A birthday, put their favorite candy or confetti in it for a decoration. No matter what the occasion, this is a great present.
This is an amazing present and I have had good luck with it in the past. So if you ever cannot think of something, just do this quick and easy one that is sure to put a smile on the receivers’ face!
Helpful Tips: The website below says to use goo gone and laundry detergent to get rid of the glue on the jars. I just filled my sink with very hot water and dawn dish soap, and let the jars soak in it overnight. It came right off. Also I used super glue instead of hot glue because when I tried hot glue, the jars fell apart. The super glue will hold better. Have Fun!
