Holiday Gift Ideas for Parents
It’s time for the holidays! Here are some fun ideas for gifts to give your parents.
For your mom, I recommend making a gift yourself. Parents usually love it when you make something by hand because it makes the gift more special. So get creative! If you know how to, you can make a handmade card, your own jewelry, or even a mug.
Here is one DIY idea for a dog dictionary pillow. This could be a good idea if you have a family dog.
Instructions:
- Grab a white, square-shaped pillow.
- Use a permanent marker to write your dog’s name on the pillow. With another color, write “#1.”
- Write a funny definition of your dog on the pillow. When writing the definition, describe your dog in a simple, funny manner. For example, you could write, “a funny, hyper, and loveable dog.”
That’s all there is to it!
For your dad, I suggest doing a DIY as well. You could make a DIY cap for your dad’s favorite sports team, a card, a picture frame, or a T-shirt. There are many more things that you can make. You can also buy things for your parents based on their personalities, favorite sports teams, or other things that they like.
Here is a DIY idea for a remote toolbox.
Instructions:
- Find or buy a large basket or wooden box.
- Fill it with the remote, something soothing to do while watching TV like a crossword puzzle book, and snacks like soda, chips, and candy.
- On Christmas morning, put it somewhere near a couch or chair!
Have fun with gift making, and happy holidays!
